UBS enlisted MAKAIRA to create a concept and custom structure for their Art Basel Miami Beach public activation to promote their Art Transforms, a contemporary art news aggregator.

MAKAIRA partnered with KNOCK creative agency to produce the vision of the artist duo Los Carpinteros on Miami Beach’s Ocean Front location to create El Guiro.

From obtaining permits to organizing live performances, MAKAIRA was involved in making sure all details were executed and final goals achieved.

This project included an artist dinner that took place at The Temple House.

MAKAIRA partnered with KNOCK creative agency to bring to life Ericsson’s 2nd bi-annual NEST Global Forum to Miami Beach, FL. MAKAIRA worked side by side with KNOCK to produce, source & organize their vision for this project.

In addition, MAKAIRA handled guest management, website building, off-site dinners & events, including a gala evening with a private Katy Perry Concert at the renowned New World Symphony.

SALES CENTER GALLERY LAUNCH

MAKAIRA worked closely with G&G Marketing Worlds Wide to bring the launch of Aston Martin Sales Gallery opening.

From concept to execution all facets of three-day event were managed and handled exclusively by MAKAIRA.

Royal Salute 21 enlisted the creative, logistical and guest management expertise of MAKAIRA for a media trip, sponsorship and entertainment event benefiting Prince Harry's charity, Sentebale. Media was brought from around the world to participate in a Royal Salute Polo Clinic and Polo match at the Valiente Polo Farm.

In addition, guests were taken by the Honey Fitz, JFK's former presidential yacht to Peanut Island where JFK's Bunker still exists today as a museum. Guest enjoyed a seated dinner, drinks and a tour of the bunker.

WORLD'S SLOWEST BIKE RACE

MAKAIRA accepted the challenge of creating, managing, and producing St. Germain's famed World's Slowest Bike Race: a day of appreciation for trade, partners & industry leaders.

World's Slowest Bike Ride was executed in 13 key Bacardi & St. Germain markets across the country: the bike race was one element of the french themed brunch event, including live music and entertainment. MAKAIRA handled concept, logistics, collateral & on-site management.

TENNIS TOURNAMENT

MAKAIRA has worked with the activation of various sponsors for nearly a decade at the Miami Open. 

Some of those include past title sponsors like Sony, Sony Ericsson, Nespresso, HSBC Private Bank, JP Morgan, Pro Ecuador and more.

Makaira produced custom buildouts, branding, on-site management and overall consulting for these sponsors.

MAKAIRA worked closely with Ry Rocklen artist and visionary behind the Night Court pop-up art bar on the Ocean Front property of Miami Beach during Art Basel.

His art pieces were integrated into a full-scale environment of daily programmed performances, cocktails & events.

MAKAIRA was responsible for every aspect from concept to completion.

MAKAIRA worked in part on the first installment of Bentley Elements, a series of art and design commissions conceived by creative directors Campbell-Rey and Italian artist Massimo Uberti.

 

This piece made its debut at Design Miami in 2014

VISIONAIRE 65 FREE

ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH

MAKAIRA worked with Bureau Betak's creative direction to bring the Visionaire 65 FREE concept to life on Faena Art Beach during Art Basel.

Visionaire sought out to share with the community 15 artist posters that were available free to the public.

In addition, MAKAIRA produced a kick-off event at Faena's " Collaboratory " to celebrate Stella Artois's sponsored activation.

UBS enlisted MAKAIRA to create a concept and custom structure for the first Art Basel Miami Beach public activation to promote their Planet Art Pop, a contemporary art news aggregator.

Thus, the "Recharging " lounge was created: an oasis in Miami Beach Botanical Garden where guests could charge up their phones, download the Planet Art app, enjoy homemade palettes and read up on current affairs.

UBS enlisted MAKAIRA to create a concept and custom structure for the Art Basel Miami Beach public activation to promote their Art Studio, a contemporary art news aggregator. 

The Art Studio was created: in Miami Beach Botanical Garden where guests could charge up their phones, drink up juices, have a photo-booth.

CROWDFUNDING

ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH

Crowdfunding an Art Basel and Kickstarter initiative enlisted MAKAIRA to create and implement a concept to activate to the public. 

 

A talks program, private meetings and Tattly tattoos were all ways to educate the public on funded, non-profit projects and ways to raise funds for UBS.
